COVID-19 Policy

Policy Statement

It is the Policy of Affinity Tours Australia to ensure a safe work environment for our staff and safe travel for our passengers. Our policy is to ensure that we minimise the risk of contracting Covid 19 or spreading the virus through contact on our tours.

We will not accept any passengers or close contacts if they cannot present a negative Covid RAT test on the morning of departure.

We will keep a register of guests that travel with us for the required 28 days as per WA health department requirements.

We are closely monitoring COVID-19 developments and advice from relevant state health authorities.

Aims and Objectives

Our aim is to minimise the exposure of Staff and passengers’ to contracting the COVID-19 virus whilst travelling with us.

All employees have undertaken training in COVID-19 safety protocols.

As a minimum standard, all cleaning and hygiene practices as determined by the relevant Government health departments will be followed. We will follow our own extensive cleaning procedures in our vehicles.

We will provide hand sanitiser and any other hygiene requirements as set out by Government health requirements.

Travel Vaccination Requirements

Our vaccination policy provides guidance in the absence of mandated state-based health orders and/or other Government directives. We believe that this policy helps to safeguard our valued guests, our staff, and the communities into which we travel.

Guests will be required to be fully vaccinated (two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination with booster dose if required) for travel from 1 January 2022.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be sighted by Affinity Tours Staff prior to your tour.

Guests who are unable to meet these vaccination requirements are requested to contact our office at the time of booking, to discuss any exemptions or reason for non-vaccination before we will accept their booking. These will be handled on a case by case basis.

Travel Refund

Affinity Tours Australia have in place the following policy with regards to refunding of monies paid in advance for tours.

If the Government imposes a closure or restriction on travel, which prevents us from conducting a tour then we will issue a refund of monies paid, subject to the following:

  1. Except for money that we have paid to a third party provider (such as Accommodation or other tour operators) until we can get it refunded from them. We will make every endeavour to get this money back.
  1. If the tour has already commenced, we will issue a pro rata credit, dependent upon the time already spent on tour, for a future Affinity Tours Australia product.

If a person decides not to travel with us because of their own decision about the Covid-19 pandemic, then our normal terms of cancellation apply. More info can be found here  https://affinitytours.com.au/terms-and-conditions/

In making decisions about conducting a tour, we will be guided by directions given by relevant State Health authority direction.

If the tour is affected by Covid, including but not limited to access, government advice and or closures after commencement of the tour, any additional costs for passengers (E.g.: flights / additional accommodation / meals) to return to original place of departure, final destination or other required or ancillary costs (E.g.: Onward flights / accommodation) are the responsibility of the passengers.

We recommend that passengers take out a Comprehensive Travel insurance.
